MuxLab AV over IP; 4K with Audio; and Digital Signage CMS

MuxLab is showcasing new wall plate transmitters offering a slick method of AV connectivity with brushed metallic enclosures that look great in both residential and commercial venues.

MuxLab’s HDMI/VGA/USB over IP PoE Wall Plate Transmitter, UHD-4K connects AV sources via HDMI, VGA and USB ports. Integrators can use this transmitter to create an IP-based AV system in which all connected equipment links to a local Ethernet network. End users can access AV sources from various displays and smart boards all riding on an IP-based infrastructure routing through an Ethernet Switch. AV equipment can also be connected locally up to 100m using one CAT5e/6 cable in a traditional point-to-point extension. In this case, end users can switch between their HDMI and VGA inputs with automatic switching or by manually selection. Both methods support HDMI 2.0 resolutions up to 4K (3840×2160) @30Hz or 4K @60Hz (4:2:0) and VGA resolutions to 1920×1200@60Hz with two-channel audio.

MuxLab’s DomoStream transports 4K content over an IP network connecting through an Ethernet Switch. It supports all HDMI devices at resolutions up to 4K (3840 x 2160@30Hz) with HDR. It passes-through all audio modes up to 8 channel LPCM, Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Digital and 2CH audio can also be embedded at the source and extracted at the display location. The entire system can be managed and controlled through smart phones and tablets when combined with MuxLab’s ProDigital Network Controller and the updated MuxControl App, while also supporting RS-232 and directional IR for control. DomoStream boasts exceedingly low latency making it well suited for mission-critical installations where extremely detailed video is delivered instantly.

MuxLab’s DigiSign is a comprehensive new software system that makes it easy to select, manage and control many types of audio/video content in a digital signage system. MuxLab’s 4K Signage Player Media Player with DigiSign provides users with an intuitive and simple interface in which to gather, load and schedule content.  Content from various sources can be autonomously scheduled for weeks, offering an independent, “set and forget” functionality. Multi-view window layouts are supported and can be created with audio, video and images, including text banners and logos. Content can play simultaneously from different sources for picture in picture for video wall applications.

The 4K Digital Signage Media Player supports connectivity among a variety of today’s most popular sources for content, including streaming AV via the H.264/H.265 codec over a local Ethernet or the Internet as well as content loaded onto its internal memory drive or from any external USB 3.0 memory devices. The player’s exceptionally low bandwidth allows it to accept content from various sources to display anywhere needed. The entire system is HDMI 2.0 compatible with DigiSign supporting multiple window views and scheduling ability to automatically deliver customized windowed content based on a weekly schedule.
